BAUMÉ HEAVY HYDROMETERS
The Baumé Heavy scale is used for liquids heavier than water (or specific gravity greater than 1.000) such as syrups and chemicals. The scale was originally proposed by Antoine Baumé, a French chemist, in 1768. The scale has been widely accepted because of the simplicity of the numerals that represent liquid specific gravity.
